About Me

My Journey

It's 1999, and I'm sitting in a gym with a group of tentative women, a strong female leader, and a padded assailant. That self-defense class was the beginning of a lifelong path -- and a deep curiosity about what allows women to find their strength in the moments they need it most. I watched women who had endured unthinkable experiences, stand up, take space, and reclaim something that had been taken from them. It was powerful, and it stayed with me. That experience led me to become an instructor myself, where I heard countless stories and witnessed many more powerful transformations. When the time came to hang up my whistle and start a family, I naturally transitioned into  coaching -- supporting women as they navigated challenges, rebuilt confidence, and reconnected with themselves. At the time I didn't realize how deeply I would come to understand that work from the inside out.

As life often does, things shifted -- and when they did, they touched everything. A severe environmental illness impacted not only my health and my children's, but also our home, finances, relationships, and my marriage. It disrupted my sense of safety in the world and forced me into a different way of living. That chapter introduced me to a quieter, more demanding kind if strength -- the kind required when you're dealing with ongoing health challenges, uncertainty and the loss of control. The kind that asks you to keep showing up, even when nothing feels steady. I became certified as a Chronic Pain Management Coach and spent years immersed in that work -- coaching, teaching, and mentoring within an NBHWC accredited program. Over time, I continued to expand my training, including High Performance, where I saw another side of growth --people intentionally stepping into challenge in order to evolve.

What I've come to understand is this:

Some challenges are chosen.

Others arrive uninvited.

Both change you.

And in those moments -- whether it's health, burnout, life transitions, or something harder to name -- having space to process, reflect, and find your footing again can make all the difference. That's the work I do now. Not to push you forward....but to sit with you where you are, and help you find your way from there.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. - Sarah
